I was studying in Australia when I truly invited Jesus Christ to come into my life. Before then, I felt that I was missing something in my life, an emptiness that is deep within. I found no peace and joy in my life. I came to know a couple who was studying in Australia. They were attending a church over there and they invited me along. I started joining them every Sunday for the service and they constantly encourage me to turn to the Lord. Though that wasn't my first contact with Jesus, the act of Jesus dying for my sins moved me then. What amazing love He has for us that He died on the cross for our sins in order for us to reconcile with God. On April 2000, I invited Jesus into my life. I prayed to Jesus, acknowledging my sins and asking for his forgiveness and inviting Him into my life to be my personal savior.

After the sinner's prayer, I felt at peace and full assurance of my salvation. Also, the joy of having a personal relationship with god as the gap between us has been closed. One of the changes I noticed after my conversion is that I no longer depends on my own mere strength to accomplish things. I learn to involve God in every decision I make and trusting in His provision.

During my studies in Australia, I faced some personal human conflicts with my housemate and classmates over some of the issues. I know that I am no longer alone. I can talk to God on the issues I have encountered and asking for his strength and help to go through the day. I no longer have to battle the day worries/problems, knowing that He will carry me through all circumstances.
